oh the joy of this boy

Tonight we tried to get a picture of the 3 of us. Here's how it went:

Yeah, I'm not sure why I expect any different?
Still, you have to have hope for the next time.

Happy Kids

So I took these pictures of Max and Sadie today. They are always good for a laugh!
I love them both. I'm glad they have each other...
Why are kids so much happier when they lose an article of clothing? It makes Max a new man. Good luck getting anything back on though.

Sadie ('Sayi Sayi' according to Max) is one of his most favorite people if you can't tell.

As winter has come to our little valley, here is what we've been up to:
Max: -Doing the chipmunk laugh when Dad pulls him on his sled;
-Peeing in toys in the bath while I'm not looking (i.e. Mr. Potato Head);
-Begging to play with the trains at Book Table EVERY time we drive on Main Street;
-Watching Curious George because, well, I think he relates;
Brandon: -Finishing the in-floor heat under our tile. So warm, boo-ya!;
-Building snow caves in the yard. Just like a little boy, he gets so exicted. I love it;
-Made Max a new bed and beginning work on a Christmas present for Max... TBA;
Brandi: -Playing our "new" piano- thanks Dixie and Shanna:);
-Reading, usually during precious nap time and late at night. Sigh. I could always read;
-Christmas shopping. Because, let's face it. I live with two boys. No help.
I'm So Excited for Christmas... let's count the days. What could be funner than Christmas with a two and a half year old? Nothing I say.

Birthdays and Halloween

This week Britt and I turned 26 wahoo! Halloween was great, Max was a gorilla and... just like last year.... he didn't care at all. Ha! Maybe one of these years he'll be excited about knocking on strangers doors and asking for something... sound like Max? I think not. Any way, still a good week:

Another Look Back

More from the lives of the Howells these past months...
Sadie & Max at the park Ben, Mom, Grandpa, Grandma, me, Brandon and Max up Providence Canyon

Us in Kansas City

Mischevious Max at a Restaraunt in KC

Trying on boots at Target. Double toddlers means double trouble

Brandon & Max starting our yard when we were all finally home!
This is the BEFORE. I hope I can get some AFTER pictures soon. But I'm realizing what a work in progress doing a yard is.

This is about what me and Max did when we had no car in Missouri! Ha.

More at KC Zoo

Downtown Chicago

At the Chicago Apt

More at the Sears Tower

A more acurate look into our daily lives... I seem to post the pictures making us look like such a well behaved and civilized family, but really, most end up more like this. (As does my life!)

It was SO hot this day. It doesn't look like it but we were roastin'.

The Bean

This is Max's reaction to the Drive into the City

A Chicago Dog, of course.

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell this weekend with APX and I left Max for the first time ever! Three nights without him, it was surreal. It was good to get away but I missed him so much too!

Britt and I jumpin' off the cliffs after hiking to some indian ruins.

Boating was awesome and made us so sore!
It's been so long since either of us had been here, you forget how pretty this place is.
I wish I would have remembered to bring my camera along more often.

As you can see, we were throwing down sick tricks off the houseboat...

Thanks APX. It was a great time!
